This 1997 Toyota Supra Turbo is a Limited Edition 15th Anniversary Edition that is finished in black over black and powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The twin-turbocharged and intercooled 3.0L 2JZ-GTE inline-six was rated at 320 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque when new.
Work performed in April 2022 consisted of an inspection, dyno tuning, a compression test, and an oil change, along with replacing the oxygen sensor and spark plugs.
Compression test results indicate the following: Cylinder #1 – 149 psi, Cylinder #2 – 154 psi, Cylinder #3 – 163 psi, Cylinder #4 – 160 psi, Cylinder #5 – 159 psi, Cylinder #6 – 140 psi.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The car is finished in black and features a removable Sport Roof targa panel, integrated projector fog lamps, a rear wing, a rear window wiper, power-adjustable mirrors, and Limited Edition/15th Anniversary badging.
The front fenders were replaced.
Polished 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires that were installed in May 2021.
Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs paired with Supra-branded calipers at all four corners.
An aftermarket front strut tower brace has been added.
The seats have been reupholstered in black leather and matching replacement carpets have also been installed.
Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo, and power windows and locks.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.
The digital odometer indicates 52k miles.
