The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four was rebuilt by Korman Autoworks, and work at that time is said to have included installing Mahle .020″ over pistons, a replacement crankshaft, and an S50 timing chain tensioner, as well as an EVO2-style intake camshaft and offset exhaust cam gear, valve springs, ECU chip, and air intake box. The water pump, ignition components, alternator, oil pump, and hood pads were replaced at that time, and the cooling system was refreshed with a replacement radiator, fan assembly, thermostat, and oil cooler. The throttle position sensor, spark plugs, activated charcoal filter, and fuel tank breather valve have been replaced since 2022.

The Getrag five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential were rebuilt by Korman Autoworks in the mid-2010s, while the driveshaft was overhauled by Beyer Motor Works.

A replacement clutch, slave cylinder, transmission and differential mounts, shifting components, and half shafts were also installed. The catalytic converter and muffler were replaced, and several of the underbody components were powder coated.

Spare and removed parts accompany the sale, along with records and photos from the engine rebuild.

The three-spoke M-Tech I steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation that was reconditioned during the refurbishment, including a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer as well as gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 119k miles.
