The overbored 4.2-liter inline-six was overhauled and features a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system as well as a Crane camshaft, an aluminum valve cover, a Holley distributor, stainless-steel fuel lines, and a replacement fuel sending unit.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Dana 300 dual-range transfer case, both of which were rebuilt under current ownership. The truck is equipped with a Dana 30 front axle, a Model 20 rear axle with 4.10:1 gearing, and a Trak-Lok limited-slip differential. A Tom Woods front driveshaft and CV-style rear driveshaft have also been installed in addition to an ARB air locker, Moog U-joints, and Moser one-piece rear axle shafts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames an analog clock and a tachometer, while an 85-mph speedometer is mounted with auxiliary gauges at the center of the dash. The gauges were reconditioned, the five-digit odometer shows 131 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
