This 1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler is finished in white over a brown interior and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, which was installed in August 2021.

Additional work at that time included replacing the spark plugs and performing an oil change.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed T5 manual transmission and a Dana 300 dual-range transfer case.

The Scrambler was introduced as a long-wheelbase pickup version of the CJ-7 for the 1981 model year, and this example was repainted in its factory shade of Olympic White as part of the refurbishment.

Exterior details include body-side graphics, a tan hardtop, a bed-mounted roll bar, woodgrain bed rails, side steps, Marchal fog lights with covers, and a Jeep-branded rubber bed mat.

The rear bulkhead was repaired and repainted in June 2015.

Polished 15″ wheels are wrapped in 235/75 Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires, and the front axle features locking hubs.

A full-size spare is mounted to the rear swing-away carrier.

The cabin features high-back bucket seats trimmed in Nutmeg vinyl with a matching dash pad, door panels, and carpets.

Equipment includes a push-button AM/FM radio, a passenger-side grab handle, air conditioning, vent windows, and a locking center console.

The three-spoke steering has been re-wrapped and sits ahead of an analog clock and a 6k-rpm tachometer.

Centrally mounted instrumentation includes readouts for oil pressure and voltage as well as an 85-mph speedometer with inset gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.

The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 91k miles.
