This 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is # 360 of approximately 9k examples produced and features a brushed stainless-steel exterior over a black interior.Power comes from a 2.85-liter V6 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and additional equipment includes gull-wing doors, a louvered rear-window cover, a grooved hood with gas flap, staggered-diameter cast-aluminum wheels finished in gray, power windows, central locking, and an aftermarket Pioneer stereo.The rear-mounted 2.85-liter V6 was developed collaboratively by Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo.Output was rated at 130 horsepower and 153 lb-ft of torque when new.Work performed by PJ Grady included repairs to the fuel delivery system.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.The clutch slave cylinder was replaced during the recommissioning work and a DeLorean Performance Industries Spec 1 exhaust system has been fitted.The Giugiaro-styled DMC-12 features brushed-stainless-steel body panels and urethane front and rear fascias mounted on a composite underbody and a Lotus-derived steel chassis.Other features include a louvered rear-window cover, a grooved hood with gas flap, quad headlamps, black bumper covers, dual polished exhaust outlets, and gull-wing doors that can be seen raised and closed.Gray 14″ and 15″ turbine-style cast-aluminum wheels wear DMC-branded center caps along with Falken Ziex ZE512 tires measuring 195/60 up front and 225/60 out back.Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the four-wheel independent suspension utilizes coil springs at each corner.Steering and suspension work by PJ Grady included a rebuild of the steering rack, replacement of a wheel bearing, and the installation of a front stabilizer reinforcement kit.The cabin features black upholstery on the bolstered seats, center console, and door panels along with matching carpets and floor mats.Equipment includes power windows, an aftermarket Pioneer stereo, and a digital clock.A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles.
