This 1978 Ford F-150 is a 4×4 short-bed Styleside pickup finished in orange and powered by a 4.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include a sliding rear window, a JVC CD stereo, towing mirrors, and 15″ alloy wheels with 33″ tires. The truck was manufactured at Ford’s San Jose, California facility, and it received a repaint, updates to the interior, and a suspension lift, and additional work included installation of an aluminum radiator and replacement of the fuel tank, carburetor, muffler, rear wheel bearings, wheel cylinders, and more.
Power is provided by a B-code 4.9L inline-six that is equipped with a replacement downdraft carburetor. Further additions have included replacements for the fuel tank, muffler, and rear wheel bearings and wheel cylinders as well as the installation of an aluminum radiator.
The grille was replaced, along with the bumpers and weatherstripping for the doors and windows.
The Styleside bed has external tie-downs mounted on each side.
The bed was refinished with a spray-on liner application.
A 2″ suspension lift was fitted during prior ownership, and the truck rides on 15″ Pro Comp alloy wheels fitted with a set of 33×10.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires.
The cab features a bench seat that was reupholstered in brown vinyl with quilted stitching, and matching upholstery covers the headliner and door panels.
Equipment includes vent windows, shoulder belts, woodgrain trim, and a Bluetooth-capable JVC CD stereo.
Instrumentation includes a speedometer and a quartet of auxiliary gauges.
