This 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was fitted with a 417ci stroker LS3 V8 mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and refinished in black over black and gold upholstery as part of a refurbishment completed by GKR Motorcars in October 2022.
Additional equipment and modifications include a Currie 9″ rear axle with a 3.70:1 limited-slip differential, UMI Performance control arms, adjustable front coilovers, 17″ snowflake-style alloy wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, a shaker hood, Trans Am graphics, Recaro bucket seats, air conditioning, a microsuede-wrapped steering wheel, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and a vintage-look stereo.
The car left the factory finished in Starlight Black (19) and was repainted as part of the refurbishment completed in 2023.
The rear floor was replaced and additional bodywork was completed on the lower rear quarter panels and additional areas of the rear.
The car left the factory with the Y82 Special Appearance Package, which added gold accents as well as Hurst T-top roof panels, special trim, and a Trans Am hood decal.
Additional exterior features include quad rectangular headlights, side mirrors, a Shaker hood, fender vents, a decklid spoiler, and a dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe.
The 17″ snowflake-style alloy wheels feature gold-finished accents and are wrapped in 265/40 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires.
Braking is handled by Wilwood power-assisted four-wheel discs with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers out back.
Additional modifications incorporated during the refurbishment include UMI Performance front control arms, Viking adjustable front coilovers, Viking rear shocks, Detroit Speed rear leaf springs, and larger diameter sway bars.
The retrimmed interior features Recaro front bucket seats upholstered in black with gold patterned cloth inserts.
Interior equipment includes a Vintage Air climate control interface, power windows, bright door sill protectors, a wood shift knob, and a vintage-look stereo.
The microsuede-wrapped steering wheel fronts and engine-turned dash housing Dakota Digital instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts for coolant temperature and oil pressure.
The digital odometer shows 100 miles, and total chassis mileage is unknown.
