The replacement L28 inline-six was bored and stroked to 3.1-liters by a local builder.
Engine components included replacement parts sourced from Nissan as well as the following: Triple Weber 45 DCOE carburetors, Cannon intake manifold, Ported and polished N42 cylinder head, ARP head studs, Schneider valve springs and retainers, Rebello camshaft, Datsun adjustable cam sprocket, LD28 V07 crankshaft, L24 connecting rods with ARP bolts, Nissan KA24 pistons, Pacesetter ceramic coated headers, 2.5″ exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers, Lightweight steel alloy flywheel, Nissan turbo high volume oil pump, 60-amp alternator, Mallory distributor and coil.
The replacement five-speed manual transmission was overhauled and sourced from a 1982 280ZX and fitted with a turbo clutch and replacement Nissan clutch cylinders.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an R200 limited-slip differential with 3.70:1 gearing.
The interior was refreshed with replacement seat foam padding and black vinyl covers along with matching carpets and Coco floor mats.
An aftermarket dash cap has been added, as has a Sony CD stereo with Bluetooth capabilities.
A refinished wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm redline tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles, total mileage is unknown.
