This 1972 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS Coupe is a numbers-matching late production US-spec example completed in June 1972.
In November 1989, a repaint in black and an interior freshening were completed.
Between 2012-2015, this Maserati was taken back to Alfa dealer for a mechanical overhaul, including a rebuild of the 4.9-liter V8 and a complete brake service.
Most recently, an annual tune-up was performed, along with additional servicing.
The Ghibli SS featured an upgraded braking system with twin-servo assisted ventilated discs and three piston calipers all around.
As part of the recent annual service, new stabilizer bushings were installed, the original Borrani wheels were refinished, and a new set of Pirelli Cinturato tires were fitted.
The cabin features correct black leather, and equipment consists of an adjustable steering column, anti-theft steering lock, tinted and electric windows, reclining seats with head rests, a heated rear windscreen, dashboard clock, a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio with a supplemental Voxson 8-track, and air conditioning.
