This 1972 GMC Jimmy Cheyenne is finished in orange over black and orange houndstooth upholstery and powered by a replacement 350ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission, dual-range transfer case, and limited-slip rear differential.Equipment includes a removable white hardtop, 17″ steel wheels, quadruple headlights, and lap belts.Finished from the factory in Medium Red, the rocker panels, fenders, door hinges, and right door skin were replaced, and the antenna was removed from the left quarter panel before the truck was refinished in its current shade of orange in December 2018.The removable white hardtop was repaired before it was also repainted in December 2018, and the chrome bumpers, side markers, vent window seals, and rear hatch seals were replaced in January 2019.Additional refurbishment work involved replacing the quadruple headlights and various lighting lenses as well as replacing the grille in preparation for the sale.White 17″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are wrapped in 305/65 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A Baja Champion tires.Manually locking hubs are equipped at the front.The steering stabilizer, drag links, Bilstein shocks, and leaf springs were replaced in April 2019.Work performed in 2023 included resealing the power steering pump and replacing the front wheel seals, the brake hoses, and the brake calipers, pads, rotors, drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders.Rust repairs were performed to the dash in November 2017, and the floors were repaired in March 2018.The front bucket seats and folding rear bench were reupholstered in black vinyl with orange houndstooth inserts in April 2019.Additional work completed in 2019 included replacing the sun visors, carpets, and seatbelts.The R134a air conditioning was serviced in 2023, and the turn signal switch, ignition switch, steering column upper bearing, and column-mounted shifter were also replaced at that time.The two-spoke steering wheel was replaced in February 2023 and fronts a 100-mph speedometer, a combination gauge, and auxiliary gauges.The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added since the completion of the build. Total mileage is unknown.
