The replacement 340ci V8 has been rebuilt and is equipped with three Holley two-barrel carburetors as well as an Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold and Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads. A “Tri-Power” air-cleaner lid and Mopar Performance ribbed valve covers have been added along with a CVR High Performance Racing Products vacuum reservoir. Long-tube exhaust headers feed a dual exhaust system with an X-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers, and beveled finishers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Sure-Grip differential with 3.91:1 gearing.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black with a color-coordinated dash pad, door panels, headliner, and carpeting. The Hurst shifter is topped with a signature-style “Mr. Norm” knob, and woodgrain trim accents the dash. A RetroSound head unit has been added, and three-point seatbelts are provided for front occupants.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges.
The five-digit odometer shows 400 miles, which reflect the distance accumulated since completion of the refurbishment; total mileage is unknown.
