This 1972 Datsun 240Z has received an original-color repaint, resealing of its 2.4L inline-six and freshening of its cylinder head along with installation of a new alternator, starter, water pump, clutch, and fuel pump.

Shifting is through a 4-speed manual gearbox and modifications include lowering springs, a 6-into-1 header, a 2.5″ exhaust system, and Panasport wheels.

The 2.4L inline-six was removed and resealed in early March 2018, while the cylinder head was updated with freshly seated valves and guides, new valve seals, and a replacement head gasket.

A new alternator, starter, water pump, and fuel pump were also installed.

Induction is from twin SU carburetors mounted to a chromed intake, while a 6-into-1 header feeds a 2.5″ exhaust system.

hifting is through a 4-speed manual gearbox which received a new clutch kit while the engine was out.

Sheet metal received a glass- and trim-out repaint in its original code 918 orange in February 2018.

The work was carried out with the doors removed in order to cover the jambs appropriately, and new weatherstripping was installed along with other new trim items.

The rear dog legs have been replaced and some minor repairs have been made to the floorboards.

Silver-painted Panasports are mounted with Ironman radials.

Black vinyl seat covers and door panels remain original.

Black carpeting was removed for the treatment of the steel floor panels and application of sound deadening material.
