Subsequent refurbishment work completed in 2017 have included a repaint in Pastel White, an interior refresh with replacement tan and golden yellow upholstery, replacement top canvas, and a rebuilt 2,110cc flat-four paired with a KCR Transmissions “Freeway Flyer” four-speed manual transaxle.The 2,110cc air-cooled flat-four was builted during the refurbishment using an “AD” engine case, Pauter cylinder heads, and dual Weber 40mm carburetors.Additional equipment includes a Porsche 914-sourced oil cooler, finned 1.5″ heater boxes, and black ceramic-coated exhaust headers.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a KCR Transmissions “Freeway Flyer” four-speed manual transaxle with a 4.57:1 differential.Equipment includes 15″ Fuchs wheels, drilled and ventilated front disc brakes, lowering spindles, dual Weber carburetors, yellow front driving lights, a Catalina awning, a fold-down rear bench seat, a refrigerator, a sink, and a rear mosquito net.The body was refinished in Pastel White during the refurbishment completed in 2017 and features a Cloud White camper top, white bumpers, a side doorstep, a Catalina retractable awning, and Jalousie-style bay windows on each side.Yellow driving lights are fitted to the front bumper and are wired to a lighted switch on the instrument panel, the battery tray was replaced and that the right-front floor pan was repaired prior to the repaint.Porsche-sourced 15″ Fuchs wheels are wrapped in 205/65 Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires.The chassis refurbishment work included replacement ball joints, tie rod ends, and spring plate bushings.Modifications include drilled and ventilated front disc brakes, Old Speed drop spindles, front and rear anti-sway bars, and KYB shocks with front coilover assist springs.The forward cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan vinyl, Coco Mats, and woven basket-style shelves below the black dashboard.The rear cabin features woodgrain paneling, a fold-away table, golden yellow upholstery, a rear bench seat that folds flat, and patterned window curtains.Additional equipment includes removable rear mosquito netting, a removable stool, a refrigerator, and a sink.The factory folding cot has been removed and replaced with a later folding bunk, although the removed cot will accompany the van.The refurbished steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 90-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, warning lamps, and a 7k-rpm tachometer in place of the factory clock.A pod below the dash houses gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and cylinder head temperature.The five-digit odometer shows 29k miles, true mileage is unknown.
