The 429ci Super Cobra Jet Ram-Air V8 features was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The optional Drag Pack added a high-lift camshaft with mechanical lifters as well as cap-screw connecting rods, and a modified crankshaft, flywheel, and vibration damper.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.91:1 Traction-Lok differential.
