This 1971 Buick GS convertible is one of 25 Stage 1 “zone demonstrators” built on August 5, 1970, all of which were finished in Cortez Gold over Pearl White vinyl and distributed to GM executives before going to dealers and the general public.

Power comes from a numbers-matching 455ci V8 mated to a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission and a 3.42:1 Positraction rear end.

The Grand Sport package included F41 heavy-duty suspension, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, a power-operated convertible top and windows, dual exhaust outlets, air conditioning, rally gauges, cruise control, and more.

The 455ci V8 was factory rated at 345 horsepower and sends power through a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission and a Positraction rear end with 3.42:1 gears.

An inspection has been performed in preparation for sale.

The car was equipped with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes as well as the F41 suspension package from the factory.

The car is one of 81 Stage 1 convertibles built for the 1971 model year, and the body was refurbished in Cortez Gold.

Exterior features include front and rear bumper guards, a rear bumper with dual rectangular exhaust outlets (N25), and sport mirrors.

Buick Rallye-style wheels wear Firestone Wide Oval tires all around.
