This 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE is finished in Plum Crazy Purple over a black leather interior and equipped with a correct U-code 440ci V8, 4-speed manual transmission, and factory limited-slip differential.
Under the hood lies a non-original but correct 440ci V8 that features 906 heads, a 509 camshaft, and topped with three 2-barrel carburetors.
Further additions include a set of aftermarket headers with a 3″ dual exhaust.
Power is sent through a rebuilt 4-speed A-833 manual transmission to the factory Dana 60 limited-slip differential equipped with 4.10 gears.
Though service records are minimal, a new clutch was installed last week in anticipation of the sale.
The car underwent a restoration over the course of 30 months that included a repaint and engine rebuild featuring the installation of three 2-barrel carburetors, aftermarket headers, and 3″ exhaust.
Conceived as a styling and convenience group, exterior cosmetic features of the SE included a vinyl roof incorporating a smaller rear window opening with external bright moldings and the three-pointed Dodge “fratzog” emblem positioned on each C-pillar.
The 2010 restoration included a repaint in correct Plum Crazy Purple (FC7).
Per the seller, the bodywork was recently treated to a professional polishing.
The 15″ Rallye wheels feature argent center caps and wear BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
The interior is equipped with high back black leather (HRX9) buckets with a color-keyed dashboard, carpets, and wood trim along the Rallye instrument cluster, center console, and pistol grip shifter.
Interior features unique to the SE models include identifying script along the door panels and an overhead console with warning lights for low fuel, door ajar and unfastened seat belts.
The factory radio is retained, and a modern stereo unit has been installed in the glovebox.
The 5-digit odometer was reset at the time of the restoration and currently shows 1,708 miles.
