The 428ci Cobra Jet V8 features a four-barrel carburetor, Ram Air induction, and finned valve covers. It was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. The water pump was replaced in October 2015. The replacement three-speed C6 automatic transmission was rebuilt in October 2015 and the car is also equipped with a Traction-Lok rear axle with a 3.00:1 final drive.

The cabin features high-back front bucket seats and a rear bench that were reupholstered in black vinyl in 1992. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, center console, and doors, and additional equipment includes air conditioning, a push-button AM/FM radio, a roll bar, a wood shift knob, a padded center console, and shoulder belts for the front occupants.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a tilt-away column, and it fronts an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges displaying fuel level and coolant temperature. Gauges in the center stack indicate amperage and oil pressure.
