Kar Kraft was commissioned by Ford to modify Cobra Jet Mustangs with a larger 429ci V8 featuring “crescent”-shaped combustion chambers. It came from the factory with an aluminum intake manifold and a four-barrel Holley 735-cfm carburetor.

Output was rated at 375 horsepower when new. Service performed in preparation for sale included an oil change.

An engine stamping featuring a 9F prefix corresponding to a 1969 Ford can be seen above, and the last six digits match the car’s serial number.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok differential.

The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. Controls for the choke and hood scoop are located on a bracket mounted above the accelerator pedal on the lower dash area.

The five-digit odometer shows 4,400 miles.
