The 396ci L78 V8 was equipped with a Holley carburetor from the factory and was rated at 375 horsepower when new. Additional features include an orange-finished engine block and a chrome air cleaner assembly and valve covers. Service in preparation for sale have involved replacing the wiring harness, rebuilding the carburetor, and changing the oil. The engine bay was repainted in 2022, and the radiator was repaired and repainted in January 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with a Positraction differential.
A Best of Show award from The Cars Time Forgot Car Show in 2017 is included in the sale along with an owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, warranty card, and a Protect-o-Plate.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock. An ammeter as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure are housed in the center console.
The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles.
