The 427ci L72 V8 could only be ordered from the factory in the 1969 Camaro via a Central Office Production Order (COPO), since GM had an informal rule that the Chevelle and the Camaro could not be equipped with an engine larger than 400ci.
This example has been fitted with headers, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end.
The body was refinished in its factory shade of Daytona Yellow (76), features include front and rear spoilers, a ZL-2 ducted hood, and a left-side mirror.
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary Stewart Warner gauges mounted under the dashboard.
The five-digit odometer shows over 74k miles, actual mileage is unknown.
