The 400ci V8 breathes through a four-barrel carburetor and was rebuilt in 2011 with a .030″ overbore, a sleeve in cylinder #3, a reconditioned crankshaft, and head work as well as a replacement camshaft, bearings, pistons, rods, lifters, gaskets, and head bolts.

The four-speed manual transmission was serviced with a new clutch and flywheel in 2011, and routes power through a 3.55:1 rear end.
