The V8 was bored to 406ci and fitted with an upgraded camshaft, an Edelbrock carburetor, a Holley intake manifold, and a 3” exhaust system.
Engine block stamping number T0402JO is shown above, which corresponds to a 265-horsepower 396ci police interceptor-spec V8 produced at GM’s Tonawanda, New York engine plant.
The body was removed from the frame and received a two-stage repaint in red with black rocker panels during the refurbishment.
A three-spoke steering wheel with polished accents and an SS-branded center cap frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a combination gauge.
The five-digit odometer was reset during the refurbishment and now shows just over 200 miles.
Total mileage is unknown.
