This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a stock example finished in British Green over black.
Power is provided by a 302 cubic inch V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, driving the rear wheels via a Positraction rear end.
The 302 cubic inch V8 was created in part to meet the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans-Am Series road racing rules limiting engine displacement to 305.1 cu in (5.0 L).
Equipped with a forged crankshaft, solid lifters and an 11.0:1 compression ratio, the 302 was originally rated at 290 horsepower.
Within the last year, the oil/filter have been changed and a tune-up has been performed.
The MacNeish report indicates a factory-built Z/28 with original floor pans, transmission and rear axle, an inconsistency in the engine stamping prevents the report from indicating that it is original to the car.
The car was repainted in British Green (Paint Code ZZ).
Suspension remains in stock condition, and the brake system utilizes power discs up front and drums out back.
1968 Z/28’s were fitted with 12-bolt positraction rear differentials, and this example is optioned with 4.10:1 gears.
15″ Steel Rally wheels wear BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
Black interior (Trim Code 712) features bucket seats and retains an optioned AM/FM Delco radio.
A Husrt shifter is installed, and the original unit is also included.
Both the dashpad and carpeting have been replaced, and the 62k miles showing are believed to be correct.
