Work included removing the body from the frame, refinishing the exterior, fitting a replacement engine and transmission, and refurbishing the interior.
Finished in black over Parchment vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 400ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission with an aftermarket Gear Vendors overdrive.
The replacement 400ci V8 have been sourced from a 1967 GTO and is fitted with a Quadrajet carburetor, an aluminum radiator, “670” cylinder heads, high-output exhaust manifolds, and a Pypes exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement Muncie four-speed manual transmission that has been modified with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit.
The limited-slip differential have a 3.37:1 rear gear, the frame have been coated in POR-15 anti-corrosion material.
The hardtop body was finished in Montego Cream from the factory and have been through a body-off refurbishment, during which it was repainted black.
Additional work consisted of replacing rusted panels including the trunk pan, floor pans, rocker panels, and rear panel, as well as re-chroming the bumpers, grille, and trim and powder-coating the bumper brackets and fuel tank straps.
Powder-coated replacement Rally I steel wheels measure 14″ in diameter and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown redline radial tires.
Stopping is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes, and a rear sway bar, air shocks, and boxed control arms have been fitted during the refurbishment.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in Parchment vinyl with matching door panels along with a black dashboard and carpets.
Equipment includes a woodgrain dashboard fascia and center console, a Hurst shifter, a reproduction AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity, aftermarket speakers, and a Vintage Air air conditioning system.
The Gear Vendors overdrive unit is activated by a button atop the shift knob.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames rally gauges including a 120-mph speedometer, a hood-mounted tachometer, and readouts for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure.
The odometer shows 13k miles, total mileage is unknown.
