This 1967 Pontiac Firebird coupe was subsequently underwent a refurbishment including a repaint in yellow, reupholstering the interior in black vinyl, rebuilding the 400ci V8 and the four-speed manual transmission, and the installation of power steering, power brakes, and electronic fuel injection.
The replacement 400ci V8 has been modified by State Line Auto Service with a larger camshaft, Rhoads V-Pro Street lifters and roller rockers, shorty headers, an Eagle 4340 forged-steel crankshaft, Eagle H-beam rods, Mahle forged flat-top pistons, a triple-core aluminum radiator, and Holley Sniper Stealth 4150 electric fuel injection.
The valve covers and air-filter cover have been customized with Firebird logos, and the fuel lines, wiring harness, wiper motor, and heater box have been replaced.
The rubber stoppers between the fenders and the hood have been removed to allow the hood to close properly, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The car has been fitted with a Moser Engineering 12-bolt rear end with 3.73:1 gearing and a 3″ exhaust system with Holley turbo mufflers.
The fuel tank and lines were replaced during the refurbishment.
The car left the factory in Mayfair Maize (Y) and was stripped to bare metal and underwent body work followed by a repaint by Peachtree Auto Painting and Collision, in addition to rechroming the bumpers and replacement of the black vinyl roof.
