The factory 289ci V8 was replaced with a 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V8 during the refurbishment.

The Tremec T-56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission has been fitted with a QuickTime bell housing and a hydraulic kevlar clutch and directs power to the rear wheels through a Currie 9″ Positraction rear end with 3.73:1 gearing.
