The 427ci medium-riser V8 in W-code spec was factory rated at 410 horsepower and came equipped with a single-plane aluminum intake manifold and a 710-cfm Holley four-barrel carburetor as well as cast-iron exhaust manifolds flowing into a dual exhaust system equipped with an H-pipe, a pair of resonators, and a single transverse-mounted muffler with dual outlets just aft of the rear wheels. The carburetor was rebuilt and the oil changed in preparation for sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with an open differential and a 3.89:1 final-drive ratio. The Elite Marti report shows delivery to Max Curtis Ford along with factory colors and equipment, body-plate decoding, and production dates and numbers.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in black vinyl with a matching dash pad and carpeting, and the black vinyl door panels feature woodgrain and chrome trim. Sound-deadening material and the radio were deleted as part of the drag package.
A two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome semicircular horn ring fronts a 120-mph horizontal speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 998 miles.
