This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible was subsequently the subject a custom build featuring the installation of a 496ci V8, a five-speed manual transmission, and a Dana 60 rear end in 2015.

A 496ci V8 engine sourced from Coil Racing Engines was installed during the build and features “049” oval-port cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller valve-train, a serpentine accessory system, an Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake manifold, and a Holley Sniper fuel-injection unit paired with Holley Hyperspark ignition.

Additional equipment includes an Entropy aluminum radiator equipped with dual Spal fans, a Tanks Inc. fuel tank fitted with an internal fuel pump, and ceramic-coated Sanderson headers connected to a 2.5″ dual exhaust system equipped with an X-pipe and Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission along with a RAM Powergrip 11″ clutch kit, a custom driveshaft, and a Strange Engineering Dana 60 rear end with 3.54:1 gearing.

Further updates include a UMI Performance Stage II suspension package featuring QA1 front coilovers.

The body was mounted on a black powder-coated replacement frame, and the exterior was repainted in late-model Corvette Shark Grey after replacing the fenders, quarter panels, floor pans, and trunk floor.

A replacement convertible top is mounted on a refinished top frame and was installed with replacement hydraulic cylinders.

Further work have included replacement of the windshield, weatherstripping, and door window felts.

The car is equipped with Xenon headlights and LED taillights.

Staggered-width 17″ Wheel Vintiques rally-style wheels feature a chrome finish and are fitted with Nitto 555G2 tires measuring 245/45 in the front and 255/45 at the rear.

An additional pair of 255/50 Nitto tires will accompany the car.

Disc brakes are fitted at all four corners and feature stainless-steel lines, and the vehicle is also equipped with power-assisted steering.

White vinyl upholstery sourced from TMI covers the front and rear bench seats, and the floors are covered in Dynamat sound insulation topped with a replacement carpeting set.

A wiring system sourced from American Autowire has been installed, and additional updates include a climate control system from Vintage Air, a Hurst shifter, an adjustable Ididit steering column, and a Bluetooth-equipped Kenwood receiver housed under the front seat.

Replacement Dakota Digital gauges are recessed within the stock opening and feature a digital odometer indicating that approximately 800 miles have been driven since completion of the build.
