The Ford Racing Z363 stroker V8 is a replacement crate engine based on a Boss 302ci block and is equipped with aluminum cylinder heads, an oversize Griffin radiator, and a 750cfm Holley four-barrel carburetor topped by an open-element chrome air cleaner with a 289 High Performance decal.
Service in early 2020 included installation of an Edelbrock water pump, a replacement timing cover, a Carter fuel pump, a refurbished Hi-Po dual-point distributor, and a Pertronix Ignitor solid-state ignition.
An original-style replacement battery was fitted in April 2024.
Gases exit by way of ceramic-coated headers from Ford Powertrain Applications (FPA), flowing into a 2½” dual exhaust equipped with an H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Hurst-shifted Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end with a Traction-Lok differential.
A Cobra-branded tachometer with an adjustable redline set at 6,600 rpm is centered atop the dash.
The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, true mileage is unknown.
