This Shelby Cobra 427 S/C CSX4000 is a fiberglass-bodied continuation car built by H.R.E. Motorcars in 2006.This car is chassis number 4829, and power is from a Shelby America all-aluminum 427ci V8 with Shelby aluminum heads stroked to 482 cubic inches that is paired with a Tremec five-speed manual gearbox.The 482ci Shelby alloy-block V8 is mated to a five-speed Tremec TKO 600 gearbox and sends power to the rear wheels via a custom driveshaft.The engine is topped with an eight-stack sequential fuel-injection unit by TWM (now Borla).Fabricating, machining, assembly, and blueprinting was by B&B Automotive Machine Shop.The most recent service was done in March 2023 and included a new battery, a valve adjustment, spark plugs, an oil and filter change, new fuel filters, and a check of all fluids.In March 2023 the frame rails were cleaned, prepped, and epoxy primed, and the chassis was painted.The body is finished in black with black side pipes and a black roll bar.3M paint-protection film has been applied to the hood, the front fascia, and the front and rear fender flares.Quick-jack bumpers are fitted front and rear, and the battery is located in the trunk.Powder-coated Vintage Wheels with polished rims and knock-off hubs measure 17″ x 8.5″ up front and 17″ x 10.5″ at the rear.Michelin Pilot Sport tires size 245/45 in front and 335/35 at the rear.The interior is black leather, and this car was specified with a short shifter, door pockets, a fire extinguisher, and a hidden kill switch.The driver’s seat is bolted to the floor—using stock holes—to make for a lower seating position and more legroom.Simpson shoulder belts can be mounted to the roll bar and are included in the sale.Equipment includes a detachable steering wheel with a wood rim, a heater and defroster, a fuel gauge, and a fuel-pressure gauge.A plate on the dash from Shelby Automobiles identifies this 427 S/C as CSX4829, and Carroll Shelby signed the sun visor.The odometer shows just over 5,600 miles.
