This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was refurbished by Images Auto Body in 2012.
Work involved repairing and replacing metal panels, refinishing the body in silver, re-trimming the interior in red leather upholstery, installing a JT5 five-speed manual transmission, and overhauling the 4.2-liter inline-six as well as the suspension and brake systems.
Equipment includes a beige soft top, a beige top boot with red piping, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Pertronix ignition system, aftermarket camshafts, a stainless steel exhaust system, and a push-button radio.
Work performed in 2023 involved an oil change as well as draining and refilling the fuel tank.
Finished from the factory in Carmen Red, the car was stripped and repainted silver during the aforementioned refurbishment, at which time the outer door sills and floor pans were replaced.
The chrome-finished bumpers and trim were refinished by Faith Plating, and exterior details include a beige soft top, a beige top boot with red piping, recessed headlights with covers, a louvered hood, and taillights mounted above the bumpers.
Paint protection film has been applied to the front of the hood and the trailing edges of both doors.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/65 Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires, while a full-size spare is mounted under the trunk floor.
The fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled during the refurbishment, and the car features Koni shock absorbers up front and Boge shock absorbers at the rear.
Originally trimmed in black upholstery, the interior was reupholstered in red leather during the refurbishment.
Appointments include low-back bucket seats, a sliding rearview mirror, red-finished lap belts, and a push-button radio linked to speakers mounted on each side of the center stack.
The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock.
Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the center stack.
The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 4,100 miles, total mileage is unknown.
