This 1965 Buick Riviera was ordered with the optional Gran Sport package and retains a numbers-matching V8 and 3-speed automatic transmission.

The Gran Sport option specified a 425ci Super Wildcat V8 with dual 4-barrel carburetors, hydraulic lifters, and 10.25:1 compression backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and 3.42:1 Positraction rear differential.

Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt and additional updates were made to the fuel and cooling systems.

The engine is stamped with LX-398 and the serial number above, which match the car’s identification number and included Protect-O-Plate.

New wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and front brake lines were installed.

The car was given a repaint in its original Silver Cloud in 2011.

The 15″ wheels are mounted with a set of Sigma Shadow whitewall tires.

This Riviera was optioned with a power seat, air conditioning, power antenna, tilt steering column, Sonomatic stereo, power windows, remote mirror, “tell-tale” speedometer, power steering, and power brakes.

The interior carpeting was replaced due to fading.

A new dash pad by Just Dashes was installed during the refurbishments, which also included an air conditioning system overhaul and update to R134a in 2016.

The 5-digit odometer currently shows 59,633 miles.
