This 1965 Buick Riviera was ordered with the optional Gran Sport package and retains a numbers-matching 425ci Super Wildcat V8 coupled with a 3-speed automatic transmission.
The Gran Sport option specified a 425ci Super Wildcat V8 with dual 4-barrel carburetors, hydraulic lifters, and 10.25:1 compression backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and a 3.42:1 Positraction rear differential.
Factory-rated output was 360 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
The car was serviced in preparation for sale with a tune-up, changing of the fluids, and the installation of new brakes.
Finished in Seafoam Green (H) with a body-color roof, the exterior was repainted in 2018.
The brightwork was rechromed and reinstalled after the paintwork was completed, and the weatherstripping was replaced.
The Riviera came from the factory equipped with power steering as well as power-assisted 12″ finned-aluminum drum brakes.
This example’s 15″ rally wheels are original and were rechromed with new caps and centers, and mounted with correct bias-belted polyglas tires.
This Riviera was optioned with a power antenna, power windows, remote mirror, power driver’s seat, tilt steering column, speedometer, Sonomatic radio, and air conditioning.
Both the headliner and trunk lining were recently replaced.
The odometer indicates 20k miles, true mileage is unknown.
