This Backdraft Racing Roadster was reportedly assembled in 2003 and is powered by a stroked 351ci V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a BMW-sourced 3.46:1 differential.

The car is finished in red over black leather upholstery and equipment includes Halibrand-style 15″ five-lug wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, an independent rear suspension, an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold and cylinder heads, a Holley carburetor, side-exit exhaust pipes, a polished driver-side roll hoop, latch-and-link seat belts, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Pioneer CD stereo.

The fiberglass bodywork is finished in red with removable black vinyl “89” graphics and is mounted to a black-finished steel frame.

Exterior details include chrome quick-jack bumperettes, a hood scoop, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, a polished driver-side roll hoop, wind wings, side-exit exhaust pipes with heat shields, and a LeMans-style fuel filler cap.

Black-finished 15″ Halibrand-style five-lug wheels feature simulated knockoffs and are mounted with 235/60 and 295/50 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires that were replaced in 2023.

The car is equipped with an independent rear suspension and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.

The cockpit is equipped with low-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets.

Appointments include latch-and-link seat belts, a fire extinguisher, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a battery cut-off switch, Clarion speakers, and a Pioneer CD stereo.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel is said to have been installed by the selling dealer in February 2023, and it fronts AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.

The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles.
