This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible was manufactured in Los Angeles, California and a refurbishment completed in 2018 featured exterior and interior color changes along with new wheels and brake and suspension refreshes.

The car is equipped with 357ci V8 featuring an electronic ignition, custom camshaft, and headers and is mated to a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission.

Paired with a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission, power is provided by a 352ci V8 featuring a larger 0.30 overbore that increased displacement to 357ci, along with an RV camshaft, MSD electronic ignition, and jet-coated JBA headers.

The suspension features new shocks, bushings, and hardware, while new drums have been fitted to the brakes.

The body was removed from the frame and given a complete media blasting followed by a repaint in the current Citroen-based silver blue finish.

Polished Center Line wheels measure 16″ in diameter and are fitted with Kumho tires. The new black soft top is shown raised, and the sale also includes a soft top cover trimmed in black vinyl.

Originally delivered from the factory in Beige vinyl (84), the interior has been refreshed with new upholstery, door panels, and carpets.

The factory optioned front bucket seats, full-length command console, and swing-away steering wheel are retained, and the A/C vent housing has been rebuilt and subsequently installed.

The 5-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 53,826 miles, with less than 500 added since completion of the work.
