Power is from a numbers-matching 4.0-liter DOHC inline-six mated to a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a factory-optional 3.77:1 limited-slip differential.

The DB5 featured a body lengthened to 15 feet along with a low-profile hood scoop and a seven-bar grille, while also adopting the faired-in headlights of the DB4GT and Vantage.

This example left the factory finished in Sand according to the BMIHT certificate, and was refinished in its current dark metallic green prior to the mid-1980s.

The independent front suspension incorporates double wishbones with coil springs, telescopic shock absorbers, and an anti-roll bar, while the coil-sprung solid rear axle features a Watts linkage, trailing arms, and Armstrong lever-arm dampers, the latter of which feature optional electric adjustment.
