This 1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL two-door hardtop is finished in black over black vinyl and powered by a 390ci V8 with tri-power induction paired with a four-speed manual transmission.

Equipment includes an Edelbrock Performer RPM camshaft, an FE tri-carburetor setup from Carl’s Ford Parts, cast iron shorty headers, and 10:1 pistons.

The replacement cylinder heads were refreshed with larger intake and exhaust valves, and the removed heads, intake, and exhaust manifolds are reportedly included in the sale.

Additional work have included a rebuilt generator, installation of a stainless steel dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers, and replacement of the following components: Battery and cables, Water pump, Accessory belts, High-flow aluminum radiator, Electric cooling fan, Heater core and related hoses.

The four-speed manual transmission have been rebuilt with a McLoed Performance clutch and pressure plate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Detr 9″ differential with 4.11:1 gearing.

The floor pans were replaced.

The car was factory finished in Raven Black (A) and was repainted some time ago.

The hood, roof, and trunk areas were recently refinished, the sail panel trim, window seals, and door roping have been replaced.

Additional features include 390 badging, chrome exhaust tips, and dual side mirrors.

Painted steel wheels wear Ford-branded hubcaps and 215/75 steel belted radials up front and 275/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires out back.

Braking is handled by drums at all four corners that received replacement shoes, wheel cylinders and related hardware.

The suspension received replacement shocks, springs, ball joints, and the offset shaft was replaced with a solid unit.

The interior features black vinyl front bucket seats and a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets.

Amenities include a Hurst shifter, a center console, lap belts, and a heater.

Replacement carpets were installed and the rear speaker tray, ignition, locks, inner door panels, and trunk mat were also replaced.

A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a column-mounted Niehoff 8k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and fuel and temperature gauges.

SunPro gauges for voltage, oil pressure, and engine temperature are mounted below the dashboard.

The five-digit odometer displays 42k miles, total miles are unknown.

The 390ci V8 was overhauled and bored .030″ over approximately 200 miles ago.
