This 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS coupe is powered by a 409ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in its original color of Tuxedo Black over a red vinyl interior.

The 409ci Turbo-Fire V8 was factory rated at 409 horsepower at 5,800 rpm when equipped with dual Carter AFB four-barrel carburetors.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle.

The engine pad stamping contains a “QB” suffix which denotes a 409ci V8 with dual four-barrel carburetors, while the code on the left matches the last seven digits found on the serial number plate affixed to the driver’s door jamb.

Equipment includes bucket seats, a Delco AM radio, and dual Carter AFB four-barrel carburetors.

The car was restored by Brad Ranweiler in 1986 and was freshened again in 1990.

The exterior is finished in its original color of Tuxedo Black (900).

Stock 14″ wheels wear faux-spinner covers and 215/75 Dunlop SP40 A/S tires.

Disc brakes have been added up front, and the stock drums are included in the sale.

The car is equipped with dual rear antennas as well as 409 and SS badging.

The red vinyl interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench, matching carpets and door panels, and red rubber floor mats.

A white headliner is equipped, as is polished trim on the red dashboard, which houses a Delco AM radio.

Instrumentation ahead of the two-spoke red steering wheel includes a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, gauges for fuel level and temperature, and a steering-column-mounted 7k-rpm tachometer.

The five-digit odometer shows less than 1k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
