This 1961 Jaguar XKE roadster is a left-hand-drive Series I roadster that was manufactured on August 29, 1961.
It underwent a refurbishment in the 2000s, and the car is finished in Cotswold Blue over dark blue leather upholstery, and power comes from a numbers-matching 3.8L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual gearbox.
The 3.8-liter inline-six features triple SU side-draft carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower.
A tune-up was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox.
Delivered from the factory in Cotswold Blue, the car underwent a color change to red before receiving bodywork and a repaint in its factory color, by Images Auto Body.
The brightwork have been re-chromed by Sherm’s Custom Plating during the refurbishment.
Features include split bumpers, welded hood louvers, and glass headlight covers.
The chrome 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared spinners and were mounted with new 6.40-15 Firestone Deluxe Champion bias-ply tires in 2022.
A matching spare wheel and tire are stored under the trunk floor along with a tool kit and case.
Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rotors at the rear that were rebuilt during the refurbishment by Suffolk & Turley of Nuneaton, England.
The blue soft top features a plastic rear window and is stowed under a matching boot.
The cabin features low-back seats trimmed in dark blue leather upholstery with matching door panels, sills, sides of the console, and carpets.
Dynamat sound insulation is fitted underneath the carpets, and textured aluminum trims the dashboard and center console.
The three-spoke steering wheel features exposed aluminum on the inner rim and frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock.
Just over 56k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
