This 1961 Chrysler 300G is one of approximately 1,280 hardtop coupes built for the model year and is refinished in Cinnamon over tan leather upholstery.
The car is powered by a 413ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes a cross-ram intake manifold, 15” wheels, rear tailfins, power-assisted steering and brakes, power-adjustable front swivel seats, a push-button gear selector, an “AstraDome” instrument cluster, power windows, and a Golden Touch radio.
The Chrysler 300G was designed by Virgil Exner, and 1961 marked the final year of tail fins for the 300 letter series.
Finished from the factory in Cinnamon (RR1), this example have been repainted.
Features include chrome-finished bumpers and trim, canted dual headlights, a power antenna, tri-color 300G badging, a power-adjustable side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets.
Ventilated 15″ steel wheels wear chrome-finished covers and are mounted with 235/75 American Classic whitewall tires.
A full-size spare is secured in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at each corner.
The front suspension have been rebuilt.
The power-adjustable front swivel seats and fixed rear buckets were reupholstered in tan leather with a Gary Goers interior kit.
Aluminum trim accents the cabin, and other interior details include a push-button gear selector, a Golden Touch AM radio, an analog clock, a padded dashboard, vent windows, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, power windows, and a full-length center console.
A remote key fob activates the power trunk and windows, a battery cut-off switch is mounted under the driver’s seat, and auxiliary lights have been installed under the dashboard.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames an “AstraDome” instrument cluster that houses a 150-mph speedometer along with auxiliary readouts for amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature, and a tachometer is housed in the center console.
