The 283ci Super Turbo-Fire V8 was factory rated at 230 gross horsepower, and it features an Edelbrock Performer four-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust system. The engine was rebuilt, which included boring the cylinders 0.030″ oversized, rebuilding the cylinder heads, and installing a replacement camshaft, pistons, bearings, oil pump, lifters, and timing components. The starter motor, windshield washer pump, and windshield wiper motor were rebuilt, the exhaust manifolds were refreshed, and these additional components were replaced during the refurbishment: Engine and transmission mounts, Generator and voltage regulator, Wiring harnesses and fuse block, Fuel tank, pump, filter, sending unit, lines, and hoses, Radiator and cooling hoses, Water pump and thermostat, Heater core, Transmission cooling lines, Dual exhaust system.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission that was installed and was rebuilt during the recent refurbishment. The rear differential and driveshaft were also rebuilt.

The two-tone steering wheel wears an Impala logo and sits ahead of a refinished instrument panel consisting of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges indicating coolant temperature and fuel level.

The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles.
