This 1958 Porsche 356A Speedster was built in September of 1957, power is provided by a 356C engine, which was rebuilt in 2019 with big-bore pistons and cylinders, as well as new valves and bearings.

The non-matching flat-four engine is said to bear stamping *710570*, indicating it is from a 356C.

The engine was rebuilt earlier this year with new bearings, piston rings, and valves, as well as big-bore cylinders and pistons.

Machine work was carried out by Precision Crankshaft, approximately 200 miles have been added since the rebuild.

The four-speed manual transaxle was overhauled with new bearings in 1996, and fresh undercoating was applied during the paintwork in 2019.

A 356A driver’s manual, jack, and tool kit are included in the sale.

A repaint was then carried out circa 1996/1997.

The car was then repainted Meissen Blue in August 2019, and new chrome trim was also installed as needed.

Steel 15” wheels wear polished hubcaps and Verdestein Sprint Classic tires.

The drum brakes and replacement Koni Classic shocks.

The black folding top, side curtains, and boot cover have been replaced.

The interior was refurbished with new red upholstery, oatmeal carpets, and black rubber mats from Autos International.

The two-spoke steering wheel was refurbished by Koch’s, and green VDO instrumentation includes a 6k-rpm tachometer and 120-mph speedometer.

The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles.
