This 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster first came to the US through Hoffman Motors in New York.
The car has been refinished in red over tan leather, and power comes from a replacement flat-four that was rebuilt in April 2023 with a 1,720cc kit paired with a four-speed manual transaxle.
Other details include overhauled twin Solex carburetors and powder-coated engine tins as well as a replacement brake master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, battery, and ignition components.
Delivered from the factory in white, the car has since been repainted in its current red and features a low windshield, quadruple beehive taillights, a single engine lid vent, bumper overriders, gold lettering, chrome headlight guards, and a Reutter badge riveted to the right front fender.
New headlight covers were fitted in 2023.
The tan soft top is stored beneath a matching leather boot.
Chrome 15″ wide-five wheels wear hubcaps and older Michelin XZX tires, with a matching spare housed in the front trunk.
Stopping power is provided by four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, and replacement master and rear wheel cylinders were fitted in 2023.
The cockpit features fixed-back bucket seats that were changed from red upholstery to tan leather along with matching trim on the door panels and dash pad.
Oatmeal square-weave carpeting lines the out seat surfaces, kick panels, and door sills, while black rubber mats cover the floors.
An ivory-colored two-spoke steering wheel frames green-lettered instrumentation including a VDO speedometer and tachometer as well as a Störk oil temperature gauge.
The five-digit odometer shows approximately 16k miles, with the actual total unknown.
