This 1956 Jaguar XK140 MC Drophead Coupe is finished in black over a tan leather interior.

A comprehensive restoration was carried out by RMR Restorations between 2005 and 2014.

Power is supplied by a 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six, which retains a numbers-matching block and comes paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox.

The XK140 features large full-width bumpers with overriders and a body-length chrome center spear, exterior fittings not found on its predecessor, the XK120.

This exterior has been refinished in the factory black and received new or refurbished brightwork during the restoration.

The Drophead Coupe features an integrated windshield frame, insulated convertible top, and roll-up side windows.

As an MC model, this XK140 left the factory with stiffer suspension and chrome wire wheels.

A set of Michelin X radials are fitted, and a matching spare resides in the trunk.

Relative to the XK120, the 140 features a roomier cockpit.

Jaguar moved the bulkhead three inches forward, affording more legroom for tall drivers.

The dashboard was also raised an inch to give extra room beneath the steering wheel.

A 4-spoke Moto-Lita wheel complements burled walnut dash and door caps. Tan leather and matching carpet were chosen during the restoration in place of the original red.

13k miles are shown on the odometer, approximately 6k of which have been added since the restoration was completed.
