This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is powered by a rebuilt 265ci V8 paired with a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.

The 265ci V8 is equipped with a single 2-barrel carburetor and was rated at 162 horsepower at 4,400 rpm when new.

A rebuild in 2013 by Maxwell’s Automotive and Performance included new pistons and grinding of the crankshaft.

A new rear main seal and oil pan gasket were installed in 2017.

Shifting is through a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.

Finished in two-tone red and white over a red and beige vinyl interior, it is equipped with a white softtop, an AM radio, and a clock.

Restoration work performed by Bill Potts in 2014 and 2015 included a repaint in two-tone red and white and the installation of a new white convertible top.

Red-painted 15″ steel wheels wear Chevrolet covers and whitewall tires, and a full-size spare is located in the trunk.

The interior was redone in 2015 and features a two-tone red and beige scheme on the front and rear bench seats, door panels, and rear side panels.

Red carpeting, a white boot cover, and a red-painted dashboard with an aluminum insert also are equipped.

Instrumentation consists of a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for temperature and fuel level.

An AM radio is mounted in the dashboard, and a clock is located in front of the passenger seat.

The 5-digit odometer shows 53k miles.
