A subsequent mechanical overhaul included a rebuilt 239ci flathead V8 and 3-speed manual transmission along with a 12-volt conversion, modern alternator and radiator, rebuilt suspension, and other updates.
A replacement 239ci flathead V8 with a new engine core, hardened valve seats, ARP stainless head bolts, and Johnson adjustable lifters have been installed.
