This 1937 Ford Tudor sedan street rod is powered by a 396ci V8 mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear axle.
The car is finished in purple with painted flames over black leather and features an independent front suspension and a ladder bar rear suspension with coilovers, power front disc brakes, Weld Racing wheels, a Quick Fuel Brawler carburetor, and an HEI distributor as well as Vintage Air climate control, a tilt steering column, electric door poppers, and reverse-opening doors.
The “Slantback” steel body is finished in purple and have been repainted.
Features include painted flames, a single-piece windshield, a wrap-around grille, hood side vents, wheel arches, running boards, shaved door handles, reverse-opening doors with remote poppers, recessed taillamps, and a dual-outlet exhaust that exits below the rear roll pan.
The 15″ aluminum Weld Racing wheels are mounted with 205/65 Maxis MA-202 tires up front and 31×18.5″ Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires out back.
The car is fitted with an independent front suspension, a ladder bar rear suspension with adjustable coilovers, and rear-wheel tubs.
Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front shock absorbers have been replaced in 2023.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leather and joined by a matching diamond-pattern stitched headliner and door panels.
Equipment includes a color-matched dashboard and center console and a Vintage Air climate control system.
A battery cut-off switch is installed below the front passenger’s seat.
The billet steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column and frames a New Vintage 140-mph speedometer and a multi-function gauge with displays for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage.
