The 428ci HO V8 block was bored to displace 440ci and built with a Super Duty-style forged steel crankshaft, ported and polished Ram Air IV cylinder heads, Super Duty connecting rods, a solid lifter camshaft, roller rocker arms, and 10:1 compression pistons. Additional equipment includes: Dual 750-cfm Edelbrock carburetors, Two-piece aluminum tunnel-ram intake manifold, Auto Gage fuel-pressure gauge, 60lb/hr oil pump and deep sump pan, Custom radiator with electric fan, Aluminum valve covers with knurled retaining knobs, Electric water pump, Joe Hunt magneto-look distributor, Ceramic-coated custom exhaust headers, Aluminum flywheel, Hydraulic clutch system, McLeod Racing pressure plate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission, a custom driveshaft protected by a frame-integrated safety loop, a narrowed 1958 Bonneville rear end with Fabcraft Metalworks forged axle shafts, and a 4.88:1 limited-slip differential.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a body-color dash with a pair of engine-turned aluminum inserts flanking a refurbished factory control panel that has been fitted with a starter button. A 7k-rpm AutoMeter tachometer is clamped to the custom steering column, and matching instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage.

The five-digit odometer shows 1,900 miles driven since completion of the build.
