The 351ci Cleveland V8 was installed during the aforementioned refurbishment, and it is augmented by a Holley four-barrel carburetor with electric choke as well as a Cobra-branded air cleaner, Ford Motorsport finned valve covers, an MSD electronic distributor and control box, a Be Cool aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan, and coated Hooker headers. The car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally powered by a 390ci V8.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a 9″ differential. The dual exhaust system utilizes MagnaFlow mufflers and an intermediate X-pipe, and subframe connectors have been adapted.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel has a GT500 center badge and frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level and water temperature. Pro Comp gauges for water temperature and oil pressure are positioned ahead of the shifter.
The five-digit odometer shows 1,300 miles, which reflect the distance accumulated since completion of the refurbishment; true mileage is unknown.
