The 1.8L inline-four was built using a .040″-over MGB block, a flowed MGA cylinder head, and a custom-ground camshaft. Additional service during the 2007 build included rebuilding the distributor and dual SU carburetors as well as installing an oil cooler, a stainless steel fuel tank, and a stainless steel exhaust system, replacing the fuel lines, wiring harness, and alternator, and converting the electrical system to negative ground. The battery was replaced in March 2024, and the oil was changed in June 2024.

A Ford Type 9 five-speed manual transmission conversion kit was sourced from Quantumechanics and it included a replacement flywheel, pressure plate, bell housing, and release bearing. The rear end was rebuilt using 3.90:1 gears, and additional service included replacing the clutch hydraulic lines and cylinders.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate shows the factory colors and options as well as a dispatch date of September 12, 1957.

A tool kit, manufacturer’s literature, workshop manuals, digital copies of wiring diagrams, refurbishment documents, and service records are included in the sale.

A custom-painted steering wheel fronts rebuilt instrumentation that includes a Jaeger 120-mph speedometer, a Smiths tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature.
